The Widetrack Chronicles 52: Our first show of 2019!

The Widetrack Chronicles 52: Our first show of 2019!

What a blast our first show of 2019 was!! For those of you who couldn't be there, or weren't able to tune in to our Facebook Live broadcast, we wanted to share some photos, video and details with you about this wonderful night...

The evening kicked off with a nice jam of covers, featuring members of both bands (us and Calling Marvin)... So much fun!

Then, at 10 PM, Calling Marvin took the stage... If you've never checked out this band, please do... they are fantastic!

After Calling Marvin got the crowd all amped up, we took the stage at 11:45 PM, opening with the live debut of a brand new song called Martyr...

The first half of our set was as a four-piece, featuring Ron and Zach, with Dave Humphreys on lead guitar and Joe Smith on drums...

After the opener, the four of us played Violet, Burning the Sun, Gift, and the debut of another new song called Tribal...

Then we called up our friend Kurt Harms (the lead guitarist on the Widetrack II album) to play the second half of the set with us...

We kicked off the second half of the show with our remake of I'd Love to Change the World by Ten Years After...

From there, we played a few from our second album, including, A Single Step, Fault Line, Venom, The Shrine, and a long-time fan favorite, Star-crossed...

We finished up with the usual closer, our remake of Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine, whereupon, we were joined onstage by one more key member of the group: our mascot, Sir Thurston...

What a fantastic night! special thanks to Olivia Bauerle for taking some great shots of the evening, Tim White for hosting the event and running sound/lights, and all who came out to show us some love and support!

Can't wait to do it again!!

Afterthoughts:

A little rough around the edges, playing-wise, but not bad for our first outing as a full band...

Zach did a great job handling the backing vocal harmonies... Good to see him giving it his all to make it work...

Playing with Kurt again after all these years was a lot of fun... Will definitely be doing more as things progress...

Really looking forward to playing more new songs as we get them recorded...

Always love hearing from you! Feel free to respond:
